willow sat comfortably in her seat and
found herself lost in the tide of scenery bubbling up just outside her window....
she was filled with anticipation... and suffering from the lack of concentration that is the result of such anticipation.
she had been on her journey for so very long, crossing countries in her quest for a new home. a quest for safety and
stability...a quest for santuary....

note to reader: here i introduce you to my newest arrival...miss willow. she is a doll originally name karile, but i have renamed her willow for the purposes of my art;) willow came to me from an online site for a store called "the toy shoppe" and is from a line called the himstedt kinder from a doll maker name annette himstedt out of germany:wave: she stands about 37 inches tall, dwarfing my other dollies.

I have a feeling Willow is in for many surprises. One does not find sanctuary without cutting the ankles a few times.

[and I love her face. it holds so many contradictions.]

Oh wow welcome home Willow! hehe I'm so glad that you told us where you got her, because I was thinking what a small world it is if you bought her from a woman I know from Tasmania. Her name is Suzy and she hand makes dolls with real hair and little sea shells and hand made clothes from handmade fabric that she does all herself. She makes wonderful dolls and this one reminded me of some of her work. I will try and find out if she has a website, just incase you are interested in looking.
