possibilities of a harbinger

tanjee miette moved quickly
when sophia medussa called her forth
from her studies...
made her way into the antichamber and
pressed her dread deep down and away....
sophia moved closed to her to whisper,
"someone is here, tanjee. someone here to have
audience with the mistress."
"what...i mean, is it woman, man...beast?" tanjee prodded.
"a female who wears over her face a veil."
"her name?" tanjee asked in an even tone.
"she says her name is eden and she has traveled great distance," sophia answered low,
"she says she bears gifts and wishes for you to escort her to the madame melorah."
tanjee held back a gasp, wishing not to alarm sophia, who seemed slighly on edge.
she composed herself quickly,
for somehow she had been preparing for days.
"i did not expect this so swiftly," she whispered to herself...
